Design

But WiDi doesn't yet handle copy-protected content, such as Blu-ray movies. And the technology still suffers from VGP-BPS9/B latency, which means no gaming. Enter HP's Wireless TV Connect. This accessory uses a competing technology, called wireless HDMI, to stream anything from your laptop to your big screen without the lag. Is that power and added versatility worth $199?

Design

The Wireless TV Connect consists of two boxes--a transmitter and receiver--one of which hooks up to your notebook, and the VGP-BPS9 other to a TV or projector. Unlike the ASUS WiCast EW2000, which has a smaller transmitter, both boxes are the same size (4.5 x 4.1 x 1) and VGP-BPS9A/B are made of a glossy black plastic. It's a lot more cumbersome than the Warpia StreamHD, which only requires a small USB dongle.

The transmitter has an HDMI port and USB port, while the receiver has HDMI, USB, and a power port. The front of each box has two LEDs: a white one indicates it's on, and a blue light indicates it's connected. Both also have small reset VGP-BPS13 buttons.

The 15.6-inch display (1366 x 768 pixels) on the Aspire 5253 was fine for viewing Hulu or YouTube videos and DVD movies, VGP-BPS13a/b but colors and black levels weren't spectacular. Viewing angles were average, with image quality and brightness dropping off at 40 degrees off-axis.

The laptop's single speaker, located above the keyboard, didn't impress. It pumped out loud but tinny and abrasive sound devoid of any low end.

Ports and Webcam

As you'd expect from a budget notebook, the Aspire 5253 has a standard port spread. Included KaufenAkkus.com are three USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, and headphone and microphone jacks. Because the Wireless TV Connect essentially acts as a long HDMI cable, we had no problem playing protected content, as we have HP Akku with Intel's Wireless Display technology. (WiDi 2.0 will support DRM content with an upgrade later this spring.)

Of course, like the WiCast, using the Wireless TV Connect means that your HDMI and one of your USB ports is occupied, and the transmitter itself is kind of clunky. Moreover, there's no way to attach it to your notebook's lid. While the same is true for the WiCast, at least ASUS includes little Velcro Sony Akku tabs for you to use. However, both ASUS' transmitter and receiver have fans in them to keep them cool; you can hear them in a quiet room. While HP's device is larger, it has a fanless design.

Flexible Leistung

When using the TV as the only display, action was smooth and seamless, but when we used our notebook with the Samsung TV in hp laptop akku extended mode, there was some banding and audio and video was slightly out of sync at times, especially during action sequences; we didn't encounter this problem with the WiCast, though. However, when we used the Wireless TV Connect with a more modern Alienware notebook, the problem went away.

Regardless, there was no lag whatsoever when moving windows with video running, or playing imb laptop akku games such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and performance was on a par with the Asus WiCast. By comparison, the Warpia StreamHD had much more trouble playing high-def content; when a video was running, the cursor would jump around the screen.

There's one byproduct of DRM: If your notebook's display and your TV are cloned, you can only watch a Blu-ray on one of the screens. We encountered the same issue with the WiCast, too. However, this isn't a problem if you use extended mode, or use sony laptop akku the TV as your primary display.

While wireless streaming is still in its infancy, the HP Wireless TV Connect offers very good performance. Yes, the $199 price is steep and the device is bulky compared to the $159 Warpia Stream HD, but HP's device provides a much better overall experience for watching movies or playing games from across the room. We toshiba laptop akku slightly prefer ASUS' WiCast, though; it may not look as attractive as the Wireless TV Connect, but we like the fact that it works better with older notebooks, and its transmitter is smaller, making it less cumbersome for those who plan to use the device with a laptop. Regardless, you'll get fantastic wireless streaming performance from HP's device.

The AS4820TG offers four USB ports: Three are on the right side and one is on the left. Display and Sound

The widescreen 14-inch LED backlit display on the AS4820TG has a standard resolution studio 15 battery of 1366 x 768 pixels. Design

Understated but elegant. That's how we'd describe the chassis of the TimelineX AS4820TG. inspiron 6400 battery The lid has a black brushed aluminum finish, while the palm rest has a lighter brushed metal treatment. The AS4820TG's FineTip keyboard felt comfortable to the touch. The tactile response wasn't as inspiron 1520 battery sharp as we'd prefer, but we had no problem writing this review and a few e-mails. Fogale Nanotech, a French sensor manufacturer that usually HP/Compaq Laptop Battery plays in the industrial space, showed off a demo of non-touch capacitive sensors at the show. I, like Chris Ziegler of Engadget, am not entirely sure why this technology is needed. After all, you still need to be about a half inch Dell Laptop Battery from the surface to get the cursor to pick up your movement, so you still need to be pretty close. Ziegler mentioned the smudge-phobic might enjoy this Lenovo/IBM Laptop Battery technology, and it likely would make fingerprint-prone screens easier to keep looking nice. (Remember the Zune HD…? 3M’s 32-inch display with 10-finger multitouch is Acer pretty impressive, but I’m drooling over Samsung’s offering way more. Their 46-inch display has multitouch as well, but combines that with a transparent LCD that’s energy efficient enough to run on ambient light. This solar-powered wonder is just a hint Apple of things to come, according to a Samsung spokesperson. The technology will make it into commercial products, but it’s not clear if that includes mobile tech Asus (they mentioned refrigerators). We did see a slick transparent LCD on an MP3 player from the company last year, so perhaps there’s hope yet.

The 3.2 x 1.8-inch touchpad on the 5253 is decently Dell sized and provides smooth operation. It supports mutitouch gestures and scrolling within documents and web pages. Instead of discrete mouse buttons (which we prefer), there's a single bar, which felt cheap and was somewhat difficult to HP click.

The 15.6-inch display (1366 x 768 pixels) on the Aspire 5253 was fine for viewing HP Hulu or YouTube videos and DVD movies, but colors and black levels weren't spectacular. Viewing angles were average, with image quality and brightness dropping Fujitsu off at 40 degrees off-axis.

The laptop's single speaker, located above the keyboard, didn't impress. It pumped out loud but tinny Toshiba and abrasive sound devoid of any low end.

Ports and Webcam

As you'd expect from a budget notebook, the Aspire 5253 has a standard port Sony spread. Included are three USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, and headphone and microphone jacks. An SD Card reader sits on the front left side of the machine, Acer battery while a DVD SuperMulti Drive occupies the right side.

Measuring 15 x 10 x 1.3 inches and weighing in at 5 pounds, the Aspire 5253 is pretty portable for a 15-inch notebook. Apple battery Still, it's clear this machine wasn't meant to leave the house much; slipping the laptop into our standard-sized laptop bag proved a tight fit.

On our heat tests, the Aspire 5253 stayed mostly cool. After playing a Hulu video clip for Asus battery 15 minutes at full screen, we measured 93 degrees both on the touchpad and in the center of the keyboard. Things were even chillier under the laptop, with a Dell battery recorded temperature of 87 degrees in the middle. That said, the area near the exhaust vent on the Aspire's left side registered a toasty 102 degrees. (We consider anything above 95 HP battery uncomfortable.)

Keyboard and Touchpad

Typing on the Aspire 5253 was an enjoyable experience. While it's not quite as comfortable as the Fujitsu battery setup on Apple or Lenovo laptops, this notebook features Acer's standard FineTip keyboard--flattened keys in an island-style layout--with large keys that Lenovo battery provide deep travel. We also appreciated the full numeric keypad on the right-hand side.

Flexible Leistung

Dell setzt bei den Latitude E6410-Modellen auf aktuelle Prozessortechnologie aus dem Hause Intel. Ganz nach den persönlichen Akku HP DV9000 Ansprüchen hat der Käufer die Wahl zwischen einer Intel Core i5 520M-CPU, die mit einer Taktfrequenz von 2,4 GHz arbeitet, einem Intel Core Akku HP DV2000 i5 540M-Prozessor (2,53 GHz) und - im Spitzenmodell – einer Intel Core i7 620M-CPU mit einem Takt von 2,66 GHz. Analog zum Prozessor Akku HP 6735s steigt auch die Ausstattung mit Arbeitsspeicher von mindestens 2.048 über 3.072 bis maximal 4.096 MB DDR3-SDRAM. Alle Geräte der Reihe sind auf bis zu 8.192 MB aufrüstbar. Die Festplattenkapazität beträgt nur im Basismodell 160 GB. In den beiden Akku HP 6830s schnelleren Rechnern steht ein Speicherplatz von 250 GB zur Verfügung. Als optisches Laufwerk kommt in jedem Fall ein Multiformat-DVD-Brenner Akku HP 6730s zum Einsatz.

Solide Leistung

Im Gehäuse der Basismodelle der Dell Latitude 2120-Netbook-Serie arbeitet ein Intel Atom Akku HP 6720s N455-Prozessor, der einen Takt von 1,66 GHz vorlegt. Die Zentraleinheit überzeugt vor allem durch einen niedrigen Energieverbrauch. Eine hohe Akku HP 6820s Rechenleistung darf nicht erwartet werden. Gegen Aufpreis ist das Netbook auch mit einer Intel Atom N550-Zentraleinheit zu haben, die über zwei Prozessorkerne ein höheres Rechentempo bietet. Modellabhängig stehen dem Minirechner bei der Abarbeitung Akku HP 615 speicherhungriger Prozesse 1.024 oder 2.048 MB Arbeitsspeicher zur Seite. Die Festplatte des Kleinstrechners bietet – je nach gewählter Variante - Akku HP nx8200 ein Fassungsvermögen von 250 oder 320 GB. Außerdem steht ein Modell mit Solid State Drive zur Verfügung, das eine Speicherkapazität von 128 Akku HP nx7400 GB bietet. Ein optisches Laufwerk ist im Gehäuse nicht zu finden, kann aber extern nachgerüstet werden.

Kompaktes Display

Dell bietet die Netbooks der Latitude 2120-Serie mit drei unterschiedlichen Displays an: Die Anzeigefläche misst in jedem Fall eine Akku HP nw9440 Diagonale von 10,1 Zoll. In den günstigeren Modellen kann Sie eine Auflösung von 1.024 x 600 Bildpunkten darstellen. Gegen Aufpreis ist eine Akku HP nw8440 Anzeige von 1.366 x 768 Pixeln möglich. Das bessere Display steht zudem in einer berührungsempfindlichen Variante auf der Optionsliste. Für die Akku HP nw8240 Grafik ist in jedem Fall ein Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 zuständig. Der Onboard-Chip verfügt über keinen zweckgebundenen Videospeicher und muss sich daher beim Arbeitsspeicher des Netboos bedienen. So eignet sich die eher schwache Akku HP nw8200 Lösung für alle Office- und Internetanwendungen, ist aber für Spiele und grafikintensive Anwendungen nicht Akku HP nc8430 qualifiziert.

Gute Ausstattung

Damit der Latitude 2120-Nutzer auch unterwegs mit Akku HP nc8230 Famlie, Freunden oder Kollegen in Kontakt bleiben kann, stattet Dell das Netbook mit einer integrierten Kombination aus Zwei-Megapixel-Kamera mit Mikrofon aus. Der Anschluss an Videotelefonate ist so problemlos möglich. Ein Bluetooth-Modul gibt es nur im Akku HP nc8200 Top-Modell der Reihe serienmäßig.

Kompaktes Display

Als stromsparend erweist die der Bildschirm der Latitude E6410-Rechner. Die Bildschirm-Diagonale Akku HP nx7300 der Notebooks misst 14,1 Zoll. Das entspiegelte Display verfügt über eine LED-Hintergrundbeleuchtung und kann eine maximale Akku Latitude D820 Auflösung von 1.280 x 800 Bildpunkten darstellen. Während die beiden kleineren Rechner der Serie den Bildschirm über eine Lösung mit Shared Memory bedienen, kommt im Topmodell eine Nvidia Quadro NVS 3100M-Grafikkarte mit 512 MB dediziertem Akku Latitude D620 Grafikspeicher zum Einsatz.

Viel Ausstattung

Umfangreich zeigt sich die Ausstattungsliste des Streak. Das Gerät verfügt über eine 5-Megapixel-Akku Latitude D830 Kamera, die durch eine Doppel-LED-Leuchte auch bei ungünstigen Lichtverhältnissen für optimale Aufnahmen sorgt. Im Akku Dell Latitude E4300 WLAN funkt das Streak nach den Standards WLAN 802.11 b/g. Der aktuell schnellste n-Standard wird leider nicht unterstützt. Dafür verfügt das Streak über ein integriertes Bluetooth-Modul. In Ergänzung mit den Funkdiensten UMTS, EDGE, Akku Dell XPS M1530 GPRS ist der Minirechner besonders flexibel einsetzbar. Zeitgemäß ist ein GPS-Modul an Bord, mit dem der Nutzer seine aktuelle Position Akku Latitude D630 per Satellit bestimmen lassen kann. In Verbindung mit dem vorinstallierten Google Maps eignet sich das Streak so auch als kostenlose Echtzeit-VGP-BPS2c Navigation.

Smartphone-Leistung

Dell liefert das Streak mit einem ARM-basierten 1-GHz-Prozessor Qualcomm Snapdragon aus. Das VGP-BPS2b Gerät verfügt außerdem über zwei GB internen Speicher und wird ab Werk mit einer 16 GB großen SD-Speicherkarte ausgeliefert, auf der sich Daten VGP-BPS2a ablegen lassen. Durch das eingesetzte Android-Betriebssystem kann der Nutzer den Datenspeicher mit den über 50.000 Applikationen aus dem Android-Market füllen. Im Lieferzustand vorinstalliert sind auf dem Gerät bereits Google Maps und die VGP-BPS2 Social-Media-Apps Twitter, Facebook und YouTube.

Kompaktes Display

Streak-Nutzer müssen sich mit einem fünf Zoll großen Display begnügen. Der Bildschirm bietet VGP-BPS10 eine Auflösung von 800 x 480 Bildpunkten und ist durch das verwendete kratzfeste Gorilla-Glas extrem widerstandsfähig. Display-Schutzfolien werden damit VGP-BPS8a überflüssig. Das Display ist berührungsempfindlich und bietet für eine komfortable Bedienung Multitouch-Unterstützung.

Gute Ausstattung

Identisch ist die Ausstattung für drahtlose und kabelgebundene Anschlüsse bei allen Latitude E6410-Notebooks. Für den schnellen VGP-BPS8 Netzzugang steht ein 10/100/1000 Ethernet-Port zur Verfügung. Drahtlos geht es zügig nach den Standards 802.11 a/b/g/n ins Internet. Vier USB-2.0-VGP-BPS13/q Schnittstellen sorgen dafür, dass die Dell-Rechner komfortabel mit externer Hardware verbunden werden können. Für eine einfache Erweiterungsmöglichkeit VGP-BPS13a/s der Systeme steht ein ExpressCard/54-Anschluss zur Verfügung. Auch eine Webcam und ein Bluetooth-Modul befinden sich an Bord der Business-Notebooks.

Das Dell Streak ist schwierig einzuordnen. Der mobile Rechner ist eigentlich zu klein, um als Tablet-PC durchzugehen und zu groß, um als VGP-BPS13b/q Smartphone zu dienen. Für viele Anwender könnte das Android-Gerät aber genau der passende Brückenschlag zwischen diesen beiden weit VGP-BPS13b/b verbreiteten Geräteklassen sein.

Die Geräte der Precision M6500-Serie von Dell richten sich durch ihre VGP-BPS13/b hochwertige technische Ausstattung an professionelle Notebook-Nutzer mit hohen Grafikanforderungen. Um dem Anspruch gerecht zu werden, setzt Dell in VGP-BPS13a/q dieser Reihe auf aktuellste Prozessoren von Grafiklösungen.

In der Vostro V130-Serie präsentiert Dell einige besonders schlanke Subnotebooks im 13-Zoll-Bildschirm-Format mit VGP-BPS13 besten Mobilitätseigenschaften, flexiblen Konfigurationsmöglichkeiten und einem schicken Äußeren.

Flexible Leistung

Im preiswerten Basismodell wird das Vostro V130 mit einem energiesparenden Intel VGP-BPS13a/b Celeron Dual Core U3400-Prozessor ausgestattet. Wer mehr Leistung benötigt, kann auf Varianten mit aktuellen Intel Core i-CPUs zurückgreifen. Zur VGP-BPS9A/S Auswahl stehen hier Zentraleinheiten der Intel Core i3- bzw. i5-Serie. Werksseitig werden die mobilen Rechner mit 2.048 MB Arbeitsspeicher ausgestattet, die sich bei Bedarf über die Konfigurationsmöglichkeiten verdoppeln lassen. Als Speichermedien VGP-BPS9A/B stehen modellabhängig SATA-Festplatten mit einem Fassungsvermögen von 320 bzw. 500 GB zur Verfügung. Ein optisches Laufwerk ist im Gehäuse VGP-BPS9 nicht zu finden, kann aber extern angeschlossen werden.

Hohe Mobilität

An der höchsten Stelle misst das Gehäuse des Dell Vostro VGP-BPS9/B V130 flache 19,8 mm. So verschwindet der Rechner auf Reisen besonders kompakt in der Notebooktasche. Die wird dann, inklusive 6-Zellen-Lithium-Ionen-Akku, auch nur um zusätzliche 1,59 Kilo VGP-BPS9/S beschwert.

Höchste Leistung

Die Performance steht bei den Precision M6500-Notebooks klar im Vordergrund. Das zeigt sich an Acer akku der Auswahl von neusten Vierkern-Prozessoren, die Dell den mobilen Power-Rechnern spendiert. Hier kommt mindestens ein Intel Sony akku Core i7-720QM (1,60GHz, sechs MB L2-Cache) oder ein Intel Core i7-820QM (1,73GHz acht MB L2-Cache) zum Einsatz. Das Top-Gerät wird mit einem Intel Core i7-920XM Quad Core Extreme Prozessor ausgeliefert. Der Arbeitsspeicher umfasst schon im Einstiegsmodell der Toshiba akku Reihe 2.048 MB 1066-MHz-DDR3-Dual-Channel-RAM. Außerdem bietet Dell die Rechner dieser Serie mit 4.096 MB 1.066- bzw. 1.333-MHz-Lenovo/IBM akku DDR3-Dual-Channel-Memory an. Durch Unterstützung von vier DIMM-Speicherplätzen lässt sich der Arbeitsspeicherplatz auf bis zu 16 GB Fujitsu akku erweitern. Mit zwei dedizierten Festplatteneinschüben und einer zusätzlichen SSD-Mini-Karte lässt sich die Speicherkapazität der Precision M6500-Notebooks auf über ein TB erweitern. Außerdem kann der Speicher im RAID 5-Modus für hohe Dell akku Leistung und Redundanz konfiguriert werden. Auch ein Multiformat-DVD-Brenner mit Double-Layer-Unterstützung ist an Bord der mobilen HP/Compaq akku Rechner.

Mehrere Displays

Das Display der Dell Precision M6500-Modelle verfügt in jedem Dell akku Fall über eine Diagonale von 17 Zoll. Der Hintergrundbeleuchtete Bildschirm stellt Inhalte im Breitbildformat dar und kann – modellabhängig – entweder mit WXGA+-Auflösung bei 1.440 x 990 Bildpunkten oder WUXGA-Auflösung bei Asus akku 1.920 x 1.200 Pixeln betrieben werden. Auch die eingesetzte Grafiklösung kann flexibel nach Nutzeranspruch ausgewählt werden. Hier kommen entweder eine Apple akku ATI FirePro M7740 oder eine Nvidia FX3800M zum Einsatz. Beide Grafiklösungen verfügen über ein GB zweckgebundenen Grafikspeicher.

Flexible Leistung

Um den besonders hohen Performance-Anforderungen von Spielern gerecht zu werden, Akku Dell XPS M1730 bietet Dell die Geräte der Alienware M17x-Serie mit einer Auswahl von sieben Prozessoren an. Das Einstiegsmodell ist mit Akku Dell XPS M1330 einem Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 mit drei MB Cache und einem 1.066 MHz schnellen Frontsidebus ausgestattet. In der Spitzenklasse kommt ein Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad QX9300 mit zwölf MB Cache und einem ebenfalls 1.066 MHz schnellen Frontsidebus Akku Compaq Presario CQ71 zum Einsatz. Bei der Festplatte hat der Nutzer die Wahl zwischen üblichen Platten mit Kapazitäten von 160, 250, 320 oder 500 GB, Akku Compaq Presario CQ70 die mit 7.200 U/Min arbeiten. Alternativ lassen sich auch schnelle, energiesparende Solid-State-Drives mit einer Speicherkapazität Akku Compaq Presario CQ50 von 128 oder 256 GB einsetzen.

Zwei Displays

Für ein gutes Spielerlebnis muss auch der Bildschirm angepasst sein. Bei den Alienware Akku Compaq Presario CQ60 M17x-Modellen kommt dafür wahlweise ein 17-Zoll-WideXGA+-Display mit einer maximalen Auflösung von 1.440 x 900 Akku Compaq Presario CQ61 Bildpunkten (900p) oder ein 17-Zoll-WideUXGA mit HD-Auslösung von 1.920 x 1.200 Bildpunkten (1.200p) zum Einsatz. Für die nötige Grafikleistung kann der Nutzer bei der Konfiguration wahlweise eine oder zwei GeForce-Grafikkarten einsetzen Akku dell Vostro 1510 lassen, die über jeweils 1 GB Speicher verfügen. Das Bildschirmsignal kann über einen VGA-Ausgang auf einen externen Bildschirm oder via HDMI-Akku dell Vostro 1320 Anschluss auf einen Flachbildschirm umgeleitet werden. Für die nötige Soundkulisse sorgt ein integriertes 5.1 High-Definition-Akku dell Vostro 1310 Surround-Sound-System.

Großes Display

Das Display ist bei allen Inspiron 17R-Modellen 17,3 Zoll groß und kann eine maximale Auflösung von 1.600 x 900 (WSXGA) Akku dell Vostro 1720 Bildpunkten darstellen. Das Display ist glänzend und verfügt über eine energieschonende LED-Hintergrundbeleuchtung. Variabel ist hingegen Akku dell Vostro 1700 die Ausstattung mit einer Grafiklösung. Hier kommt in den Modellen mit kleinerer Prozessor-Ausstattung ein Intel Graphics Media Akku dell Vostro 1500 Accelerator HD als Shared-Memory-Lösung zum Einsatz. Nur der Top-Rechner der Reihe verfügt über eine ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470-Grafikkarte mit 1.024 MB zweckgebundenem Grafikspeicher. Eingeschränkte Mobilität

Die hohe Leistung der Alienware M17x-Geräte wird mit einer Einbuße in der Mobilität erkauft. Akku dell Inspiron 5100 Mit Abmaßen von 405,89 x 321,31 x 51,31/53,59 mm sind die tragbaren Rechner nicht gerade kompakt. Zudem belasten Sie das Akku dell Inspiron 5150 Reisegepäck mit mindestens 5,3 Kilo.

Mit den mobilen Rechnern der Inspiron 17R-Serie stellt Dell eine Reihe von Allround-Notebooks mit großem 17-Zoll-Bildschirm Akku dell Inspiron 6400 vor. Praktisch: Die Rechner lassen sich sehr flexibel ausstatten und so an Budget und Leistungsanspruch des Käufers Akku dell Inspiron 9400 anpassen.

Flexible Leistung

In der Minimalkonfiguration setzt Dell beim Inspiron 17R auf einen Intel Pentium Dual Core Akku dell Inspiron 1525 P6000-Prozessor mit einer Taktung von 1,86 GHz. Die CPU wird mit 3.072 MB Arbeitsspeicher und einer 250 GB großen Festplatte Akku dell Inspiron 1526 kombiniert. Zügiger gehen da die größeren Modelle mit aktuellen Intel Core-Prozessoren ans Werk. Hier steht mindestens eine Intel Core i3 350M-CPU mit einem Takt von 2,26 GHz in Kombination mit ebenfalls drei GB Arbeitsspeicher, aber einer Festplatte Akku Dell Vostro 1710 mit einem Fassungsvermögen von 320 GB zur Verfügung. Das Top-Modell der Reihe ist mit einer Intel Core i5 450M-Zentraleinheit ausgestattet, Akku Dell Latitude E5500 die einen Takt von 2,4 GHz vorlegt. Außerdem bietet der mobile Rechner 4.096 MB DDR3-SDRAM und eine 320 GB große Akku Dell Inspiron 1545 Festplatte. Ein Multiformat-DVD-Brenner mit Double-Layer-Unterstützung gehört in allen Rechner der Serie zur werksseitigen Ausstattung.

Kompaktes Display

Dell stattet die Notebooks der Inspiron M301z-Serie mit einem 13,3 Zoll großen Bildschirm aus. Auf dem VGP-BPS21/B glänzenden Display mit LED-Hintergrundbeleuchtung lässt sich eine maximale Auflösung von 1.366 x 768 Bildpunkten darstellen. Als VGP-BPS21/S Grafiklösung kommt in allen verfügbaren Modellen die Shared-Memory-Lösung ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4225 zum Einsatz. Auf einen externen Monitor lässt sich das Bildschirmsignal per VGA-Port umleiten. Eine HDMI-Schnittstelle gibt es leider VGP-BPS21A nicht.

Solide Ausstattung

Für Videotelefonate bieten die Dell Inspiron M301z-Notebooks eine Webcam mit einer VGP-BPS21 Auflösung von 1,3 Megapixeln. Besonders flexibel geben sich die mobilen Rechner beim Auslesen von Speicherkarten durch ein 7-in-1-Kartenlesegerät. VGP-BPS21A/B Neben der kabelgebundenen Netzwerkverbindung via 10/100-Ethernet können die Rechner auch drahtlos nach den WLAN-Standards 802.11 b/g/n mit dem Internet in Kontakt treten.

Eingeschränkte Mobilität

Mit Abmessungen von 420 x 280 mm ist das Inspiron 17R eher als Deskop-Replacement, denn als mobiler Rechner gedacht. Immerhin VGP-BPS22A ist das Notebook nur 30 mm dick und im Zweifelsfall mit knapp über drei Kilo noch einigermaßen portabel.

Kompakte Abmessungen und energiesparende AMD Neo-Prozessoren zeichnen die Notebooks VGP-BPS22 der Dell Inspiron M301z-Serie aus. Je nach Anwender-Anspruch lassen sich die mobilen Rechner sehr flexible konfigurieren.

Energiesparende Leistung

Dell stattet die mobilen Rechner der Inspiron M301z-Serie mit VGP-BPS10/S akkuschonenden AMD Neo-Prozessoren aus. Der Käufer hat dabei die Wahl zwischen der Einkern-CPU AMD Athlon II Neo K125, die einen Takt von 1,7 GHz vorgibt und den Zweitern-Versionen AMD Athlon II Neo K325 mit einer Taktung von 1,3 GHz VGP-BPS10A/B bzw. AMD Athlon II Neo K625 mit einem Prozessortakt von 1,5 GHz. Der Einkern-Prozessor bietet als weitere Ausstattungsmerkmale 2.048 MB VGP-BPS10A DDR3-Arbeitsspeicher und eine 250 GB große Festplatte. In den Zweikern-Modellen kommen jeweils 4.096 MB Arbeitsspeicher zum Einsatz.VGP-BPS10/B Außerdem sind die größeren Rechner mit einer 320 bzw. 500 GB großen Festplatte ausgestattet. Ein optisches Laufwerk ist im Gehäuse nicht verbaut, kann aber optional als externe Hardware geordert VGP-BPS13B/S werden.

Hohe Mobilität

Das Dell Latitude 13 ist gerade einmal zwei Zentimeter hoch und lässt sich daher VGP-BPS13/S unterwegs besonders kompakt im Reisegepäck verstauen. Eingeschränkte Mobilität

Die gute Ausstattung des Allround-Notebooks zerrt an der Akkuleistung. Und so hält das Acer Aspire 5552 unterwegs maximal 2,VGP-BPS13a/b 4 Stunden durch, bevor der Nutzer sich nach einer Steckdose umsehen muss, um seine Arbeit fortzusetzen.

Die Entwickler haben für die Notebooks der Aspire VGP-BPS8 5625-Serie CPUs aus dem Hause AMD vorgesehen. Im Einstiegsmodell der Reihe kommt ein AMD Athlon II X2 P320-Prozessor mit einer Taktung von 2,1 GHz zum Einsatz. Alternativ kann der Aspire 5625-Käufer zur Dreikern-CPU AMD Phenom II X3 P820 VGP-BPS8a greifen, die mit 1,8 GHz getaktet ist.
